The domain, owned by the Chevalier family since 1922, covers 18 ha (13.5 ha in Fronsac, Canon Fronsac 3.5 ha and 1ha Rose). In 2001 Father Robert passed the torch to his son Patrice. With their T the Tasta they want to restore and honor to the original grandeur of Canon Fronsac. In the 18th century first steps were taken to produce high quality wines. Originally Canon Fronsac enjoyed a higher status in Libourne wines than Saint-Emillon and Pomerol. At his time, the vineyards of Fronsac were redistributed to much smaller growths which reflect the typical geographical terroir views in a more realistic way . The actual precursors of the current "Chateaux". History and tradition are enthusiastically kept alive, making Château Tasta a true showcase for the region.
